    Default Browser

First off I would like to say I love the software.

The only problem I have is it does not open in Firefox when I click "View Inbox", it opens in IE. Firefox is my default browser. I tried setting IE7 to default and then resetting Firefox as default but no luck. I tried searching the forums for a solution but I could not find anything. The app works like it should I just want firefox to open when clicking "View Inbox"

I am using Vista Business if that matters.

    Thank You.

    Re: Default Browser

I am using Firefox 2.0.0.11 and I downloaded GMN today for the first time. The Pro version 1.0.1.1 I also tried it on Vista Home Premium but I have not tried it on XP.

    Re: Default Browser

Here is a temporary solution that one of our members ('johnnyzero') sent to me... I think it is going to work with XP only. Vista still needs a bug fix. Please post your comments if it works on vista.

    ---------------------

As a temporary solution (at least until the bug is fixed), Firefox users may wanna try BrowserTraySwitch. It will explicitly set your default browser, and probably sets some registry entries that the regular "Make Firefox My Default Browser" dialog misses.

I use it on my XP system to set the default browser (even on-the-fly), and Sohail's Gmail Notifier works flawlessly by opening up the proper browser for all functions - including View Inbox.

    best,
    JohnB

That worked. Thank you. I look forward to the fix in the next release.

Also the BrowserTraySwitch works with Vista.

    Thanks for your patience ,

Actually it all happened because Vista handles http links with a new mechanism in registry.

I have fixed that problem and replaced the setup file in downloads. I tested it on Vista ('Home Premium'), can you please uninstall previous version and try this one. Please let me know if there is any problem.

    Thanks

    Re: Default Browser

Hi, I'm having a similar problem. I'm using XP 32bit SP3 and Opera 9.51. And whenever I go into options, it seems to be changing my default browser. Because when it starts opera, opera is asking to be set as the default browser again.

    Re: Default Browser

Well the problem seems to be related to when I click View Inbox as well.
