Hello,

It would be useful to be notified for new mails that are not in the inbox.

For example, when you set a filter like « Do this: Skip Inbox, Apply label "XYZ" ».

Is it possible ?

Actually Google does not post any labels with the new emails. It might be possible in future. Please send your suggestions to Google to add such information in rss feed.

Having recently enabled the 'multiple inboxes' labs feature, this feature (notification for messages that skip the inbox) would be useful to me too.

This could be implemented in Gmail Notifier by allowing the user to select additional labels to check. I think I'm correct in assuming that Gmail Notifier uses the atom feed to check for new mail, in which case, there is a feed available for each label, e.g.:

https://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom - default inbox feed

https://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom/work/ - 'work' label feed

Just FYI...  I've got a bunch of filters that do this, too. 

So, it would also be helpful to me to have a notification for messages that skip the inbox.  Just piling on here to let you know it's much needed!
